Antique Chest on Chest #7934

Fine late Georgian Chest-on-Chest, circa 1810

78" high x 42" wide x 22" deep

This handsome mahogany chest-on-chest features canted corners in satinwood on its upper section, delicately inlaid with ebony (see picture). It has boxwood and ebony stringing on both top and bottom sections, as well as inlaid feather banding just below the top cornice. It has some old cracks to sides and some very old woodworm damage (see picture), but overall is in very sound condition. It is raised on elegant bracket feet with a well shaped apron between. All the drawers are finely dovetailed and have their original pulls.
