Originating in the England's Windsor valley during the late seventeenth or early eighteenth century, the Windsor chair has remained in fashion ever since. The reason is simple: the Windsor design combines striking good looks with remarkable durability. Of all the designs that aspire to be 'a classic', hardly any have a pedigree to compare with the Windsor chair. Many eighteenth century examples are still in use today.

Our Windsor chairs are made here in the USA from solid oak. They boast the most desirable features that we have come to associate with this classic design: the handsome turned legs and strechers, the moulded seat, the splayed armrests and the graceful arched back. They come as both side chairs and armchairs. Both are finished with an antique stain, before being hand waxed. One of the most comfortable chairs you will ever sit in.
